Celebrating 19 years of charity horse shows, the Albany Autumn Classic is an annual all breed event held at Potter Community Center in Albany, Georgia. Proceeds have benefited numerous non-profit organizations in the South Georgia region with the most recent proceeds benefiting the Albany Humane Society. Last year over $20,000 was generated and donated to the local Humane Society with a small portion given to the event’s hosting sponsor, the Dougherty County Saddle Club.

The event consists of a kick-off party and silent auction the Thursday before the horse show. This year, the kick-off party will be held at DoubleGate Country club in Albany, Georgia. Tickets will be $100 each and include dinner for two and a chance at the $10,000 reverse raffle. 

The horse show is a two day open show. Saturday’s (October 3rd) classes include halter, hunter and western pleasure, paso performace, gaited performance and an assortment of other events. Sunday (October 4th) is the hunter/jumper portion of the show. In all, over $10,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded throughout the weekend.
